[Photo] Spring arrives in the highlands of Ta Xi Lang

The arrival of spring further enhances the pristine and peaceful beauty of the highlands of Ta Xi Lang commune. At this time of year, Ta Xi Lang is adorned with the vibrant colors of peach blossoms, the gentle sound of the Hmong flute drifts in the breeze, and the cheerful laughter of children can be heard from the houses. All of this seems to awaken the highlands from their long winter slumber, donning a new, vibrant cloak of life.

The pink peach blossoms begin to bloom, painting the villages at altitudes above 2,000 meters pink as spring arrives.

With over 90% of its population being ethnic Hmong, spring in Ta Xi Lang is also reflected in the melodious sounds of the Hmong men's flutes and the vibrant colors of their traditional brocade clothing.

Yellow mustard flowers – a flower closely associated with the fields and farms of the Hmong people – also bloom profusely every spring, adding more color to the highlands.

This was also the first spring celebrated by the people of Ta Xi Lang since the establishment of the two-tiered local government system, with the joy of a bountiful harvest. The total grain production of the commune last year reached nearly 2,300 tons, the total number of livestock reached nearly 4,500, and the multidimensional poverty rate continued to decrease to 11% compared to 2024.

In the clear, joyful laughter of the children of Ta Xi Lang, spring is not only present today but also opens up bright tomorrows.
