The gift of autumn

Then the sweltering summer days with the scorching sun that made people suffocate were over to make way for each gentle breeze that brought the moisture and a little chill of autumn.

In the early autumn days, there were still a few sounds of cicadas chirping on the rough crocodile tree, but in a few days, the cicadas disappeared, only faintly smell the scent of ripe golden crocs calling the ringed birds, the crested birds chirping in the canopy of leaves. Autumn brings so many colorful gifts and sweet flavors.

Unlike the dawns of a summer day, at just 5 am, the sun shone golden sunlight through the thin curtains, signaling a sunny day, this morning it was strange when the curtain was opened, the door suddenly filled with a cool breeze, filling the whole room. A slight scent of ripe fruit also flowed in from the small green garden with the wind, making me feel indescribable.

On the guava tree in the garden, every branch is wrong, the guava fruit, which is only as small as a cup, has now turned bright yellow and fragrant. The guava is small but has many seeds and a very attractive aroma, just a little bite to feel the wonderful sweetness. Recalling a few years ago, I had a business trip in the highlands of Sa Pa, at noon when I was hungry and soft, I suddenly picked a bunch of wild guava and peaches growing wild by Ban Ho stream. The aroma, sweetness and fresh peach color of ripe guava are unforgettable.

Every autumn is the season of ripe red persimmons

Autumn really brings to life many fragrant gifts. Just yesterday afternoon, the children's grandmother in the village sent a friend to bring a basket of ripe red persimmons to the street. The persimmon tree she planted in every orchard is as red as a tomato, as plump as a girl's lips. Gently use your hands to peel off the thin skin and separate the persimmons, the flesh is soft and sweet, making the children love to eat and never get bored. It's the same autumn persimmon, but when I went to Bac Ha highland, I was allowed to enjoy crispy persimmons with yellow skin, when I peeled and eaten, my friend at the Research and Production Camp let me enjoy the crispy persimmons with yellow skin, when peeled to eat, the taste is sweet and crunchy. And in Bao Ha (Bao Yen), it is famous for pickled persimmons. This variety of persimmons, who doesn't know that when they peeled the persimmon, they couldn't swallow it because it was acrid, but just soaked in water for a long time, the acrid taste melted away, leaving only a sweet and indescribable taste. In the fall, I often have a hobby of traveling alone on the Northwest highlands to capture the majestic and beautiful picture of the mountains and forests. This season, all over the terraced rice fields have turned a bright yellow color. Standing high looking down at The Pa valley (Y Ty commune, A Lu commune, Bat Xat district) or Muong Hoa valley, Ta Giang Phinh (Sa Pa), feeling like flying over the immense golden sea of rice waves. The harvest season is hectic. This year's rice is good, farmers are excited to bring home full bags of rice. A new meal from soft, fragrant rice that warms the love of the village. Passing through the rice terraces in the harvest season, many childhood memories of herding buffaloes, cutting grass suddenly rush back when breathing the the scent of ripe rice or the scent of straw smoke at dusk.

Golden autumn colors in the highlands

There were autumn nights when I stopped to rest in a village in the Northwest highlands. The autumn night on the high mountain is quite cold and quiet, there is no traffic, only the sound of crickets and insects chirping in the flower bushes bought by the stream. At an altitude of more than 2,000 meters above sea level, the sky also seems to be closer at hand. Sitting on the porch, looking up is a large space with sparkling dots of light. The moon rises. Everywhere is full of moonlight, soft and magical light. Just watching the moonlight, all worries and worries suddenly disappear, the mind only feels light, immense, immense...
