61 works have been selected for the preliminary round of the Phan Xi Pang Literary and Art Prize in 2022

By the time of finalizing the receipt of works for the award of the Phan Xi Pang Literary and Art Prize in 2022, the Provincial Literature and Art Association, the permanent body of the Award, have received 62 works from authors in and outside the province. Through the preliminary review, there are 61 works in the preliminary round (1 work breaking the rules).

The work to apply for the 2022 awards are in literature, poetry, music, photography, fine arts, folklore, dance and play.

The standing body has advised the Provincial People's Committee to establish the Award consideration and award council, advise the Chairman of the Council to promulgate the Regulations on the operation of the council, set up the Secretariat and specialized preliminary examination sub-committees to carry out the work. Currently, the evaluation is done through 2 rounds: Preliminary and final. At the same time, in order to ensure the correct, objective and fair evaluation of the submitted works, the prize standing body will consult with experts of the central specialties in case of necessity.

The Phan Xi Pang Prize is a high-quality literary and artistic award of Lao Cai province, held every five years, for authors inside and outside the province whose works are about Lao Cai province, carried out according to the Decision 34/QD-UBND of Lao Cai province. Accordingly, the Prize consists of 10 majors, each major has a set of prizes including 1 A prize (worth 20 times of the base salary), 1 B prize (worth 10 times of the base salary) and 1 C prize (worth 4 times of the base salary).

Currently, the awards are being judged by the judges of specialized subcommittees.
