Actively compete for the Bac Ha District General Sports Tourism Award

On September 17, the People's Committee of Bac Ha district organized the General Sports Tourism Tournament 2022.

This is the event amongs the series of “Bac Ha White Plateau Festival” of 2022; 72nd anniversary of the liberation of Bac Ha (September 20, 1950 - September 20, 2022).

Athletes competed in a distance of 10 km in the movement "Discovering the Bac Ha White Plateau".

In Bac Ha town, the movement "Discovering the Bac Ha White Plateau" in 2022 took place. The tournament brings together 350 amateur athletes inside and outside the province. Athletes run a distance of 10 km, the route starts from Hoang A Tuong residence (following Ngoc Uyen street) - Bac Ha temple - Bac Ha cultural market - Thai Giang Pho commune - Hoang A Tuong residence square.

In Ban Pho commune, the Triathalon General Sports Tourism Tournament took place with 40 athletes competing in 3 triathlons (running, cycling and kayaking). Athletes compete in 2 races. Stage 1 jogging 3 km from Ban Pho 2 village (Ban Pho commune) to La Di Thang (Ta Van Chu commune). Stage 2 cycling 10 km, the route La Di Thang - Lung Phinh intersection - Can Cau commune (Si Ma Cai). After that, the athletes competed in the content of kayaking on Can Cau lake.

The sports tournament has attracted the attention of a large number of people and visitors; Athletes compete with excitement and drama on races.

At the end of the "Exploring Bac Ha White Plateau" movement run in 2022, the Organizing Committee awarded 8 individual prizes for men and women (2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes and 2 fourth prizes). For the Triathalon General Sports Tourism Award, the Organizing Committee awarded 8 individual prizes for men and women (2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes and 2 fourth prizes) to excellent athletes.

The Bac Ha District General Tourism and Sports Award aims to concretize tourism and sports products in cooperation between Lao Cai province and experts in tourism in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region (France); propagating and promoting to tourists the natural landscape and cultural colors of the ethnic groups in the highlands of Bac Ha and Si Ma Cai.
