Blue Mong celebrate lively seventh lunar month festival
On August 22 in Tu Thuong Village, the Nam Xe Commune People's Committee held the 2026 Blue Mong Seventh Lunar Month Festival under the theme "Preserving Identity - Connecting the Community".
For the Blue Mong community in Nam Xe Commune, the full moon of the seventh lunar month is a time to honour their roots. People dress in their finest traditional clothes and make offerings of sticky rice, chicken, cakes, liquor, fruit and other items to remember their ancestors and pray for good harvests and well-being for the community.
