Lao Cai ensures security and tourism safety in the new situation

The plan on tourism recovery and development in Lao Cai province in 2022 is set out to recover and develop the tourism industry, promote the image, maintain and affirm the Lao Cai tourism brand.“Natural, safe, attractive and distinctive destination", at the same time, ensuring tourism security and safety for tourists in conditions of safe and flexible adaptation, and effective control of the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the plan, Lao Cai province will implement measures to stimulate tourism demand and regulations on welcoming tourists in the new situation such as organizing the launch of incentive and discount programs; announcing the province's tourism stimulus programs, events and packages; organizing to welcome the first international delegation; implementing regulations on welcoming visitors in the new situation (especially international visitors).

Tourism promotion and comunication activities are also taken care with many activities, in which focus on innovation of communication, tourism promotion; promoting Lao Cai tourism at the Tourism Festival in Ho Chi Minh City; organizing Sa Pa tourism culture festival in Da Nang to promote Sa Pa and Lao Cai culture and tourism in key markets; implementing tourism development cooperation activities.

Activities to develop tourism products, organize unique and local cultural and tourism events will also be held regularly. At the same time, enhancing the application of information technology, digital transformation in the tourism industry and improving the quality of human resources to attract the tourists to Lao Cai, striving to welcome over 4 million tourists by 2022.
