At the Fifth Session (Special Session) held on the morning of November 14, the Provincial People's Council conducted personnel work according to its authority, electing Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, term 2021 - 2026. As a result, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh received 100% of the votes in agreement.

Continuing the working program on the morning of September 29, the 1st Congress of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee heard the announcement of the Politburo's Decisions appointing the Provincial Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term; Secretary and Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee. Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee was appointed as Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee.
On the morning of September 28, at the Lao Cai Provincial Conference Center, the 1st Lao Cai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, held a preparatory session.
On the evening of June 5, the Lao Cai International Tourism Fair 2025 with the theme "Connecting Green Aspirations" was held for the first time in Lao Cai city.
