Yen Bai Ward opens walking street
On the evening of July 16, the Yen Bai Ward People's Committee held a ceremony to launch and officially open the ward's walking street. The event was held in support of the 2026 Lao Cai Investment Promotion Conference, helping create a new urban highlight, develop the night-time economy and promote the locality's image.
Provincial leaders attended the launch and opening ceremony of the Yen Bai Ward walking street.
Attending the event were Mr. Duong Quoc Huy, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Hoang Giang, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Giang Thi Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Nguyen The Phuoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; members of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee; leaders of provincial departments, agencies, mass organizations and localities; as well as a large number of delegates, residents and visitors.

The Yen Bai Ward walking street featured a range of visitor experiences imbued with the cultural identity of the highlands.
Highlight was the Phinh Ho Tea Cultural Space, where tea masters demonstrated the art of brewing, tasting and serving tea.
Visitors could also experience the beauty of Muong Lo culture through folk melodies, traditional drinking-invitation songs and other forms of cultural exchange.


Provincial leaders visited and experienced the Phinh Ho Tea Cultural Space at the Yen Bai Ward walking street.
Stalls showcasing One Commune One Product (OCOP) items, local specialties and cuisine added further appeal, giving visitors an opportunity to discover the distinctive culture and products of Lao Cai.
The walking street is expected to become a new cultural and tourism destination in the province, attracting residents and visitors at weekends. It is also expected to gradually develop distinctive urban tourism products, stimulate the night-time economy and help build the image of a civilized, dynamic and welcoming urban area.
