More than 20,000 visitors attend Bac Ha White Plateau Festival 2025

The 2025 Bac Ha White Plateau Festival with the theme " Captivating Highland Horse Racing " has ended with many deep impressions in the hearts of locals and tourists.

The 18th traditional horse race of Bac Ha district attracted a large number of residents and tourists to watch and cheer.

The main activity that attracts a large number of tourists to Bac Ha this time is the final round of the 18th Bac Ha Traditional Horse Race, with the exciting and dramatic competition of 32 jockeys selected from 98 ones after the qualifying round. The race is considered the most successful one ever, with the largest number of spectators and new records.

Fierce competition on the track.

According to Mr. Tran Hoang Tuan, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Bac Ha White Plateau Festival 2025, the 18th Bac Ha Traditional Horse Race is the most successful tournament ever. It has the largest number of residents and tourists coming to watch and cheer (estimated at about 20,000 people) and the best results.

The annual traditional horse racing tournament of Bac Ha district is always an event that attracts many experienced jockeys from many localities across the country to participate, creating fierce and high-quality competitions.

Jockey Lam Van Thieu from Ham Yen (Tuyen Quang) won the championship of the race.

Witnessing the bustling atmosphere at Bac Ha Stadium, Mr. Ngo Xuan Nam, a tourist from Bac Giang, excitedly shared: This is the first time I have watched horse racing in Bac Ha. The final round was so dramatic, creating a very exciting atmosphere.

In particular, the Sinh Tien stick dance performance by 600 Mong ethnic students impressed locals and tourists. The activity aims to contribute to introducing, preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of the local people.

Tourists experience plum picking.

Within the framework of the 2025 Bac Ha White Plateau Festival, the plum picking experience in the garden also attracted a lot of tourists. On this occasion, the plum gardens laden with fruit became an ideal check-in spot, where visitors can pick ripe plums and enjoy them right in the garden.

“When I come to Bac Ha in the summer, I often go to the garden to pick plums and buy them as gifts for my relatives and friends.”
