In April, the province organized many cultural activities, festivals, tourism promotion activities, etc., distributed evenly in localities. As a result, the number of tourists continued to increase and reached more than 1 million, including more than 100,000 international visitors and more than 900,000 domestic visitors.

In the first 4 months of 2025, the number of tourists to Lao Cai reached more than 4 million, of which international visitors were nearly 358 thousand and domestic visitors were nearly 3.7 million. This amount is equal to 40% of the 2025 plan, which is an increase of 46% over the same period in 2024.

Total revenue from tourists in the first 4 months of the year reached more than 13,600 billion VND, equal to 30.5% of the yearly plan, which rose up 52% over the same period in 2024.
