Attractive Street Canaval Festival “Sapa Ethnicities and Holy Mother”

Within the framework of the Sapa Upper Mother Temple Festival in 2022, on April 2, in Sa Pa town, the Street Canaval Festival "Sapa Ethnicities and Holy Mother" took place.

Street Canaval Festival "Sapa Ethnicities and Holy Mother" took place on the main streets in the town center area. The festival was based on the historical and cultural values of Holy Mother worship and unique folk songs, dances and folk music of the ethnic groups in Sa Pa town, thereby developing into street fun, lively art form.

The troupe parades through many streets.

The model cars have been uniquely decorated, bearing the symbols of each ethnic group (such as trumpets and basket of the Mong people; brocade flowers of the Xa Pho people; drums and trumpets of the Red Dao people...) and musical instruments and tools made as real for visitors to admire, take photos as souvenirs and promote the typical culture of Sapa.

Along with that, artisan troupes both participated in the parade and performed typical folk dance excerpts of ethnic groups living in the town area.

The festival attracts the participation of foreign tourists. 

Street Canaval Festival "Sapa Ethnicities and Holy Mother" was held with the meaning of gratitude to the merits of the Holy Mother, honoring the belief of Holy Mother worship, one of the four immortals of Vietnamese folk beliefs, bearing profound human values, upholding the power and role of the mother in life; At the same time, contributing to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values in the festival, educating the young generation about the traditions of the homeland and the country, directing people to the values of truth - goodness - beauty.
