Opening the Festival "Essence of the Northwest - Flavors of Lao Cai"
On the evening of November 20, in Sa Pa town, the People's Committee of Lao Cai province held the opening ceremony of the Festival "Essence of the Northwest - Flavors of Lao Cai" and the Art Fashion Show "Northwest Brocade - Love Story".This is the attractive event held at the provincial level, which is the starting premise for the Festival "Essence of the Northwest - Flavors of Lao Cai" which will be officially held in 2022 with the encouragement of the provinces and cities in the broadly Northwest region and Ho Chi Minh City.

After the Opening Ceremony, the delegates, people and visitors enjoyed the art fashion show with the theme "Northwest Brocade - Love Story". It was the brocade when being associated with new and lively love stories that reflect more clearly the true picture of the lives of ethnic minorities. The love stories associated with costumes, textures, brocade colors, combinations of music effects, lighting, artistic stage installations, dance language... prove the intense vitality and perfect creativity made from brilliant materials and colors of life, honoring the unique and characteristic beauty of ethnic costumes.

The program had the participation of famous designers: Duy Nguyen, David Minh Duc, Vu Viet Ha, Quang Huy, Tran Thanh Man, Minh Minh, Xuan Nguyen, Lan Rung brocade, brocade artisans, professional models and Lao Cai, Sa Pa combined on the background of the performance program of artist Ngo Hong Quang, artist group Dan Do, artist Trung Luong, singer Hoang Duong and Lao Cai ethnic art troupe.
