Immigration activities are taking place normally.

Recently, Lao Cai province has strengthened inspection and handling of cross-border trade fraud, especially the situation of residents taking advantage of policies to illegally transport goods of unknown origin. During the peak period (implementing Plan No. 227/KH-UBND from May 16 to May 29), the province's functional forces discovered and handled 91 violations, with a total handling value of over 1.1 billion Vietnamese Dong. This is an important effort to create a healthy business environment and protect legitimate import and export goods.

During the survey, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sinh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, hoped that the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment would pay attention to and support Lao Cai in building a center for quality inspection and irradiation of agricultural products at the Kim Thanh International Road Border Gate No. II to increase competitiveness, reduce costs and customs clearance time for businesses.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Thanh Nam acknowledged the province's proposal and emphasized Lao Cai's strategic role in agricultural trade with China. Therefore, the locality needs to proactively review and improve technical infrastructure capacity at border gates, apply information technology in quarantine and traceability. The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment will coordinate with ministries, sectors and Lao Cai province to remove obstacles in mechanisms and procedures, creating maximum convenience for businesses.
