On October 18, in Sa Pa town, Lao Cai province, a consultation meeting of the National Assembly's Committees on Foreign Affairs of 3 countries Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia took place. Attending the meeting were: Mr. Vu Hai Ha, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam; Mr. Sous Yara Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Information and Communication of the National Assembly of Cambodia; Mr. Sanna Prasut, Chairman of the Lao National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee and delegates from the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committees of the three countries.

This conference is an opportunity to concretize the policy agreed upon by the leaders of the National Assembly of the three countries; finalizing the draft procedures for organizing the Conference of the Presidents of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia; discussed the necessary work to prepare for the first National Assembly Presidential Conference in Laos in 2023.

After the opening ceremony, the 3 delegations formed a working group to review and finalize the draft procedures to focus on clarifying a number of contents: Unifying the English name of the Conference of the President of the National Assembly of the 3 countries; agreed on the main structure of the Conference, which is expected to include a plenary session, meetings of 3 Committees: Foreign Affairs, Finance - Budget, Defense - Security, which can be opened according to actual needs. expand to other fields; discussion content with the focus on "development triangle". The meeting of the Presidents of the National Assembly of the 3 countries will be held in the form of rotation, every two years....

The institutionalization of procedures and effective implementation of the Summit mechanism will contribute to promoting the relationship between the three countries and the three National Assembly more and more substantively, closely and deeply, for the benefit of the people of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia; for peace, stability, development and prosperity in the region.
