Friendship conference between Lao Cai province and the Embassy and Lao students

On the afternoon of May 26, at the Provincial Convention Center, the program of Friendship conference between Lao Cai province and the Embassy and Lao students in Vietnam took place.

Attending were Mr. Shengphet Hung-bunnuong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Van Doanh, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations; over 200 Lao international students living and studying in Hanoi and Lao Cai.

On the side of Lao Cai province, there were Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, divisions and branches of the province.

Overview of the conference. 

At the program, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh briefly informed about the socio-economic development achievements of the province and emphasized the strong and comprehensive friendship and cooperation relationship in all the aspects between Lao Cai province and the localities of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in recent years. At the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, Lao Cai province and other localities of Laos would continue to have working programs, conference and exchange of experiences, promoting the growing cooperation relationship. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Quoc Khanh also shared the experience lessons learned from Lao Cai in socio-economic development and introduced some famous tourist attractions of the province. 

The delegates attended the conference.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Shengphet Hung-bunnuong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam emphasized: In recent years, Lao Cai province has had many activities to promote diplomatic relations between the two countries. Especially, through this very meaningful conference, starting a series of activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos (September 5, 1962 - September 5, 2022).

At the conference, Lao international students exchanged, discussed, asked questions and wished to share their experiences of studying in Lao Cai, developing agricultural economy, restoring and developing tourism economy.
