Nam Pung white pear blossom season

Every year, in February and March, when the pear, peach, and plum flowers jubilantly bloom all over the Northwest highlands, I happen to remind of a special land with beautiful white pear gardens. White pear and plum flowers bloom in the villages of Ha Nhi and Dao people next to ancient soil houses, creating the picture that is both pure and wild, making everyone surprised.
A pear garden in Kin Chu Phin village, Nam Pung commune

Coming to the land of Nam Pung (Bat Xat) when spring comes, it is also coming to the pear gardens that are budding and blooming white. The local pear trees have been grown in Nam Pung for a long time, but the most grown pear variety is Tai nung, thanks to its suitability to the climate and soil here, the trees produce many flowers and fruits.

From the center of Nam Pung commune, we were taken by Mr. Ly Gi Mo, Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune to visit the most beautiful pear gardens located in Kin Chu Phin 1 village. Standing by the road, pointing down the hill of raspberry as if it was covered with the white carpet to stand out among the green background of the ancient forests, Mr. Mo said this has been the first pear garden to take root in Nam Pung, so far it has been 12 springs.

Entering the pear garden, we felt lost in the fairy garden by the pear trees with large trunks reaching high, spreading their canopy like umbrella, each branch was full of buds and flowers. Looking closely, the pear flower was larger than the peach flower, with 5 thin white petals, pinkish pistil. After the spring drizzle, the pear flowers had transparent, beautiful raindrops.

Standing in the middle of the garden with more than 200 pear trees spreading white flowers, Mr. Mo said, in order for pears to produce many flowers and fruits, when the tree was 4 years old, he must use vines to open the canopy for the tree, and at the same time, fertilizing, taking care with the right technique. Initially, Tai Nung pear variety was only grown in Kin Chu Phin village, but now it has been planted in other villages, with a total area of 111 hectares. Nam Pung became the "pear granary" of Bat Xat district, earning hundreds of millions of dong from pears every year.

Nam Pung white pear blossom season

Walking around the pear garden, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Pung commune said that recently, with the complicated development of the pandemic, Nam Pung has become a "red zone", so tourists should be limited to visit. In the future, when the pandemic is less complicated, the pear garden will certainly become a place to welcome many tourists to experience and admire flowers. Nam Pung is not only the "pear granary", but also it has the village of Ha Nhi ethnic people imbued with cultural identity, primeval forests, clear blue streams, specialty salmon and sturgeon ponds... This is the potential to help the localities develop eco-tourism and community tourism. In particular, the route from Ngu Chi Son commune (Sa Pa town) to Nam Pung has been completed, in the future, this land will become an attractive destination for tourists from all over the world.
