Joint patrols help keep border river secure
To maintain security and public order, ensure inland waterway traffic safety, and safeguard national border sovereignty and security, Waterway Police Team No. 1 under the Traffic Police Division of the Lao Cai Provincial Police has coordinated with A Mu Sung Border Guard Station to conduct patrols and inspections along the border river.
During operations, the two forces regularly exchange information and closely monitor the local situation, enabling them to promptly detect, prevent and handle violations of law along the border river. The waterway police have also stepped up checks on compliance with inland waterway traffic safety regulations and reminded vessel operators to strictly observe the law.
