Responding to the contest of "Writing new lyrics for folk tunes and traditional music about natural disaster prevention and control"

The Provincial People's Committee has just issued Guideline No. 819/UBND-NLN dated March 9, 2021 on coordinating propaganda and responding to the Contest of" Writing new lyrics for folk tunes and traditional music about natural disaster prevention and control."

The contest of " Writing new lyrics for folk tunes and traditional music about natural disaster prevention and control," organized by the General Department of Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, aimed to diversify natural disaster prevention and control documents and communication methods. The disaster is appropriate for local folk culture and customs in different regions, allowing it to reach people across the country while also encouraging and encouraging natural disaster prevention and control officials. Contest entries include new lyrics, songs based on folk tunes, and traditional music about natural disaster prevention and control based on folk music from the North, Central, and South. The work demonstrates creativity, close attention to detail, and practical lyrics. The lyrics are clear and easy to understand; the content of thought and the quality of art are good; they are appropriate for Vietnamese fine traditions and customs; they are easy to disseminate, sing, and choreograph.

The contest aims to raise awareness of natural disaster prevention and control for officials at all levels and people.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requests that functional departments and localities organize a campaign for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the area's agencies, units, and strata of people. The province responded to the contest; the Department of Information and Communication presides over and coordinates with the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Lao Cai Newspaper, the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control, and the People's Committees of districts and towns. Communes and cities direct local information and communication agencies, radio and television stations, and cultural - arts clubs to effectively carry out propaganda and advocacy for the contest of " Writing new lyrics for folk tunes and traditional music about natural disaster prevention and control," so that the people, musicians, artists, and cultural - arts clubs in the province are aware of the competition and actively respond to participate.

From December 2020 to the end of March 15, 2021, entries will be accepted. The ceremony to announce and award awards is scheduled for May 20, 2021, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Vietnam's traditional day of natural disaster prevention and control, as well as the National Week of Natural Disaster Prevention and Control.
