Bao Yen: Jubilantly Long Khanh Temple Festival
On the morning of August 7, the People's Committee of Phuc Khanh Commune coordinated with the Management Board of Monuments and Tourism Development of Bao Yen district to organize the Long Khanh Temple Festival in 2022.Attending the ceremony were Dr. Tran Huu Son, Director of the Institute for Research and Application of Vietnamese Folk Art; leaders of a number of relevant departments, divisions and branches of the province; Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Bao Yen District.

Long Khanh Temple is located in Dong Mong 2, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, is the place to worship the native Thanh Hoang god and worship Mr. Tang Han Bao, the District Mandarin had many merits in leading the local people to fight against the Black Flag invaders in the middle of the 19th century. Long Khanh Temple has been recognized as provincial historical and cultural relic since 2018.

The Long Khanh Temple Festival is held annually on the 10th day of the 7th lunar month, with the purpose of remembering the merits of District Mandarin Tang Han Bao, arousing national pride, and at the same time meeting the needs of cultural life of the people and contribute to raising the awareness of all levels, branches and people of Bao Yen district in general and Phuc Khanh commune in particular in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of the nation, introducing and promoting cultural beauty, historical values to people and tourists from all over the world.

After 2 years of being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, this is the first time the Long Khanh Temple Traditional Festival has been held with full content and scale.
After the opening ceremony, delegates, people and tourists participated in the procession of palanquins and incense offerings according to the customs and culture of the Nung ethnic group (the majority ethnic group here), praying for favorable weather conditions, bountiful crops, warm and happy families…
