Trends of safe travel after the Covid-19 pandemic
The tourism industry, localities and business units have been making efforts to prepare conditions to catch up with the trend of safe tourism after the Covid-19 pandemic. The past 2 years have been a difficult time for those who do tourism in the whole country in general, and in Lao Cai province in particular. After the 3rd "wave" of Covid-19, the initial recovery had raised hope for the "smokeless industry", but it wasn't long before the 4th "wave" of the pandemic appeared, engulfing all efforts. of the tourism industry. Not only that, this pandemic is also prolonged, complicated with new strains, faster spreading, causing many deaths. Business units are expecting the scenario of "living together" with the pandemic, setting up "green zones", "safe destinations" to gradually recover.
Difficulty in safe control of pandemic and many other problems for independent travelers. |
According to predictions of many business units in this field, the trend of safe tourism will take the throne in the near future, because the prolonged pandemic causes tourism demand to increase due to tourists being "held back" for too long. That trend will help the province's tourism industry and business units recover soon.
In order to catch up with the trend, the Vietnam Tourism Association is building a program to restore domestic tourism after the 4th Covid-19 pandemic on the principle of ensuring the highest safety for destinations, travel agencies. services and visitors. This program will create conditions for eligible people to enjoy the best services and products under conditions and contribute to the restoration of operation of service facilities, accommodation, attractions, entertainment in the "green zone".
Compulsory conditions to participate in the program are that localities, destinations, service businesses, travel agencies and tourists must ensure disease safety requirements. In particular, those who directly participate in the self-contained tour (tourists, service staff, guides ...) must be those who have been vaccinated with 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccine 14 days before departure time. and must have a negative PCR test result within 72 hours prior to departure. The delegations will also be served, rest and stay separately to limit contact between the delegations.

Mr. Le Anh Dai, Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Tourism Association said: The upcoming recovery plan is known as "bubble tourism". It is the organization of closed and safe tours like bringing sports delegations and teams to participate in recent international tournaments. Ensuring safety factors in accordance with regulations before departure does not account for too much cost compared to the price of a tour, so visitors can accept it. Organizing a self-contained tour may not make much economic sense, but it will create momentum and help the tourism industry recover soon. We also hope that this program will be approved soon, helping the tourism industry to live safely with the pandemic.
At the present time, localities and business establishments are very "thirst" for tourists, the design of safe tours in the "green zones" is being awaited in the present time to help the "industry" industry. “smokeless industry” recovers. Recently, many homestays in the area have welcomed domestic guests and ensured safe conditions. Therefore, domestic pick-up can also be done if the locality, establishment, and tourists ensure the necessary safety conditions.
Mr. Tran Son Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: To cope with the current pandemic situation and maintain operations, the province's tourism industry is calculating, advising and proposing to the province on welcoming tourists back, proceeding to organize "green tours". Accordingly, only localities, tourists, business establishments and travel agencies ensure the "green standards".
